Celestia is a contemporary typeface with influences of Gothic architecture. Aesthetically, it conforms to the structure of the much-loved Helvetica font while incorporating ornamental details such as the iconic arches and windows of this architectural style. Having resided in western Europe for a few years, I grew to admire its churches and cathedrals—with all its intricate and dramatic qualities. Hence, it served as the main inspiration behind this particular work.
